Harbour view

Good morning Everyone;

We had a wonderfully full agenda this weekend. Not so much planned, but it all just fell into place.

Some old friends came over for dinner on Friday night. El Matador (two burners at least) got the nod. The cooking was exquisite even if i do say so myself and the home made salsa verde was the icing on the scotch fillet layer cake. A random bottle of wine turned into a real winner (Saint Claire 2009 Pinot Noir - 4 stars in the Nelson st wine guide).

Saturday was glorious, made more so by a harbour cruise aboard our neighbour's motor boat. A boating magazine informed me that at 65 feet it fell short of the "super yacht" classification but what's a couple of feet between neighbours? Put simply, It was superb. The kids literally wet themselves (swimming) and we weren't too far behind in the jaw dropping OMG admiration stakes. The piece de resistance being the back of the boat opening up to reveal a concealed smaller jet tender boat capable of doing 100 Km/h.

Sunday started with an Israeli brunch in Erskineville with the same Friday night friends, then a lazy afternoon handymanning around the hours.
We rounded out the weekend with a laid back picnic at a local park enjoying a free sunset blues concert. Johnny Diesel's still got it going on.

Love thy Neighbour,
Minas.
