Hiya;
Big week last week. The photojournalism course came to an end on Thursday evening with the presentations of student works. I consider it some of my best work to date and to receive the feedback I did, from these incredible photographers was nothing short of mind blowing.
It's been a tough year mentally not having much work, being rejected for jobs due to lack of experience and having to send The Lovely Samantha back into the workforce to pay the bills. Setting out into this new world, what you really want is for someone you respect to tell you your work is good enough and I got that so finger's crossed next year brings more new world opportunities.
I took it very easy on the weekend. On Saturday Sam told me to pull my finger out and start lifting my weight around the house, which i would have done sooner if there wasn't a good soccer match on TV at the time. Queue argument, resolution, T.V. off. House now cleaner. I took Bodhi to the beach for some sand castle fun - he's not too keen on the water. Lunch with the ageing grandparents.
On Sunday I dropped Sam at work then took Bodhi to a birthday party nearby. Jumping castle and Thomas The tank engine plates & cups were a big hit with the boy. A few more chores to avoid the next argument then back out to pick up Sam and bring her home for a lovely meal.
Merry Christmas kids,
Minas.
