After a trying month in India abstaining from beer and broads, it was time to set things right. So, upon returning home it was straight to the kitchen to put one away. I vaguely remember a beer at some stage too.
Friday and Saturday were spent in the sweltering heat of Delhi. It's so hot this time of year that your chai actually gets hotter as you let it stand. I checked myself into a sauna just to escape the heat. Suffice to say I didn't move around much. I opted instead to hang about at the train station to soak up the sights, sounds and smells. I took a couple of pics which i'm happy with so the several kilos of sweat sacrificed in the process were not lost in vain.
My Cathay Pacific flight home had the most impressive in-flight entertainment system I've ever seen. I could choose from umpteen movies (new releases, art house, classics), documentaries, TV shows, the list goes on. I'm hooked on this series called "The Deadliest Catch" which follows these Alaskan crab fishermen through their season in the Bearing sea. F*&k me if they're not the toughest bunch of knuckle heads going round. I also had the entire middle row to myself which is basically the equivalent of an upgrade so big smiles all round.
But the biggest smiles of all were seen as I walked through the door and the most beautiful family in the world wrapped me in their arms, and in a heartbeat making me the happiest man on the planet. see ya,
Minas.
