The Artists Sanctuary

Rather than start off with the belated results from the Friday fixtures I'm pleased to report that this Friday night saw no footy whatsoever. Instead The Lovely Samantha and I went out for a slap up meal and a bottle of plonk followed by coffee & cake before bathing in the light of the silver screen. Not your average Friday night eh? Sorry, not OUR average Friday night.

Early Saturday morning I dusted off the DIY uniform to answer my uncle's mayday call. Thinking i was just going to lend a hand to help fasten a tarp over a leaking wall, I proceeded to spend the next few hours up a ladder doing all the work. To my uncle's credit, he did hold the ladder very still.
A neighbourly dinner invite provided a perfect opportunity to showcase my new found talent for baking. Unfortunately I learnt the hard way that no two ovens are the same. My poor little apple & rhubarb crumble was sodomised by their naughty cooker.

Sunday morning saw Sam at the gym working off the aforementioned sodomy. I spent a bit of time trespassing at the Dawn Fraser Baths (closed for winter) for my daily water shot. Upon returning Bodhi was mischievously quiet so i went for a look see. Turns out he's been harbouring a prolific artistic talent and used the blank canvases of our corridor walls to have his first solo exhibition. Crayon...everywhere. That was the queue for Sam to deliver the most sternly worded, artistically nurturing warning I've ever heard.

see ya,
Minas.
